A: When your current web hosting provider can no longer fulfill the requirements of your site, or if you go through continual network downtime, or if you are forced to wait for hours for the client care staff to reply to you, it may be smart to switch your web hosting provider, i.e. to migrate all the files for your web sites together with your databases from your present provider to your future provider. At InterNEXT Web Hosting, we understand that this can be hard and time–consuming. That is why we’ll accomplish all that for you at no cost!Our competent technical staff reps will move your site content from your present hosting provider to us. Our techs have a lot of experience migrating web sites and can handle anything – from a typical WordPress–driven weblog or Joomla^™–powered site, to a highly elaborate, custom–made application.

A: There are many factors to take into consideration – the overall amount of files, the physical size of the database, the complexity of the website itself and the present workload of our website migration experts, etc. Having said that, we do our very best to perform all website migrations within a 48–hour time frame. Smaller websites are migrated faster – usually in under 24 hours.

A: We don’t require any personal info. We will require, though, the login information for your present web hosting account along with the name of the site that you would like to move.

A: In order for us to begin the transfer of your account, you must first open an account with us. Opening an account with us will require that you to share exactly the same information you have provided to your present hosting provider. We’ve also got a very strict Privacy Policy, which specifies how sensitive info is handled.

A: While we migrate your web site, it will be available both in your web hosting account with us and in your account with your old hosting provider. When the migration is completed, we’ll make certain that everything is working properly and that the integrity of your web content is not compromised prior to notifying you that the migration is completed. Then we’ll instruct you how to move the domain to your hosting account with us and how to update your DNS resource records.

A: While we transfer your web content, your hosting provider won’t be aware of the migration at all. We won’t touch base with them in any way.

A: We can transfer your web site from any web hosting provider or any Linux–powered web hosting platform given that we can gain access to the Control Panel and there’s File Transfer Protocol access available.The only websites that we can’t transfer are those based on closed–source software applications such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
